The Youth Climate Summit is an opportunity for middle and high school students to find hope and inspiration in the topic of Climate Change. There will be breakout opportunities during this conference to learn about how you can make a positive impact locally and, in turn, benefit the globe as a whole.
You may sign up as an individual or in a group. Individuals or groups will bring a display of a project or art instillation that they have worked on that makes a positive impact on the natural world. There will be a walk-through poster session at the end where students will present their green projects that they did in their community and/or schools.
Guests will also have the chance to hear from special guest speaker, Brad Panovich, WCNC-TV’s Chief Meteorologist. Panovich is known for his ability to make topics easier to understand through visuals and hands-on elements and he’s a great friend to Grandfather Mountain. He will speak about the climate and the positive opportunities kids have to make a difference.
This is a great opportunity for kids to find others in their community who also care for our changing climate!
