The vast majority of our events are included with your park admission fee, but some events which require a small fee to participate to ensure you receive expert guidance and knowledge from specially trained individuals. 93rd Singing on the Mountain

The all-day gospel sing and fellowship returns to MacRae Meadows at Grandfather Mountain for its 93rd year. A dozen top gospel groups will perform, and audiences can expect a sermon from a well-known speaker. Free admission. Camping (without hookups) is available on the field.

Bear Encounter: Habitat Animal Interpretive Talk

Encounters provide an opportunity to see the habitat animals up close and learn about those native to the mountains of North Carolina. Animals will receive an enrichment toy or treat, and staff will be available to answer questions afterward. (10-15 minutes, meet at Bear Habitat)
