Autumn color flows through Linville Falls, as wet weather arrives in the WNC High Country. According to Dr. Howie Neufeld, Appalachian State University biology professor and official “Fall Color Guy,” although the area is slightly past peak, colors are still aglow in the High Country and are “coming along nicely” at elevations below 2,500 feet. As such, Grandfather Mountain and other high-elevation vistas offer stunning views of the season spreading throughout the regions below.
