Join N.C. Wildlife Resources Commission educator Kevin Hining for a workshop intended to introduce participants to trail cameras and their many uses for exploring and monitoring wildlife populations. Participants will learn how to program and deploy a variety of popular trail cameras, as well as how to download and interpret trail camera photos. The workshop will also explore citizen science opportunities, such as the Candid Critters program, and discuss the use of trail cameras in research conducted by N.C. Wildlife Resources Commission staff. Participants are eligible for 5 hours of Criteria II or III credit towards the N.C. OEE Environmental Education Certification, and school teachers receive 0.5 CEU credits.

The program is free of charge and will take place in the Nature Museum sun room and in the field. Participants are asked to bring or buy their own lunch. For more information, or to register, email amy@grandfather.com, or call (828) 733-4326.
