Calling all Girl Scouts! Join your fellow scouts for a fun-filled learning adventure on Grandfather Mountain. Enjoy special scout activities, presentations and a closing ceremony.
The mountain will host nature programs, arts, crafts, a guest speaker and more to provide plenty of activities for scouts of all ages. There will be an opportunity for Girl Scouts to complete a service project that can go toward obtaining a badge, along with a Girl Scout Troop Challenge that will include a chance to win a prize.Girl Scout Day 2018 is a special day on Grandfather Mountain, tailored to pique the interest of Girl Scouts by inspiring love and enthusiasm for the natural world! This year’s theme is birds!
Girl Scouts in uniform and their troop leaders get free admission to the park for the day. For more information, call (800) 468-7325, or email email@example.com.
Note: Troop leaders planning to attend Girl Scout Day are encouraged to complete a brief survey prior to their visit at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/G6D75P2. The purpose of this questionnaire is to help us to prepare for the 48th annual Girl Scout Day on Sept. 22, 2018. Your response will help us to determine expected attendance overall, the number of scouts to expect at each program, and the age ranges of participants.
Please note that troop leaders are not required to complete this questionnaire in order to participate in Girl Scout Day, but we strongly recommend it, so that we are able to have adequate space and supplies for each activity. Please complete by Sept.17, 2018.
