Golden hues weave their way into the otherwise green landscape at Boone Fork Creek, just off the Blue Ridge Parkway near the base of Grandfather Mountain. At roughly 4,000 feet above sea level, the Boone Fork Bridge area is still showing predominantly green, meaning peak color could still be a way off. Cooler temperatures and increased precipitation could lead to a more rapid change, however.
