Pictured this past Thursday, fall color is in full splendor at Big Lost Cove Cliffs near Linville, just north of the Lost Cove Cliffs Overlook (MP 310) on the Blue Ridge Parkway. This particular view is a favorite among those hoping to catch a glimpse of the legendary Brown Mountain Lights. Those hoping for a glimpse of fall color can find it at various locations throughout the High Country, especially those with elevations below 4,000 feet, like the Boone area. With those colors expected to peak this weekend and early into next week, the color change should then start spreading through the North Carolina foothills.
